    Background:

    • Drug hypersensitivity is a significant clinical concern.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the utility of the in vitro lymphocyte transformation test (LTT) for diagnosing drug hypersensitivity.
    • To compare LTT results with skin testing in patients with suspected penicillin allergy.
    • To assess LTT's effectiveness for hypersensitivity to isoniazid and other drugs.

    • LTT has limited diagnostic value for hypersensitivity to drugs other than penicillins and isoniazid.
