[Obstructive changes in the lungs of young smokers]
Abstract:
The results from the spirometric investigations of lung function in two comparable groups of 28 smokers and 37 non-smokers, aged at an average of 20 are presented. Positive obstructive lung alterations were established in the smokers (smoking about 20 cigarettes daily in the course of four and more years); they were confirmed by the considerable decrease of FEV1MEFR200-1200MMEFR25-75,EFR25 and EFR10. MMV50 is decreased with a limited statistical significance.
