Abstract:
By means of electrometric surface measurements a peculiar pH-map of the mucosa of normal and vagotomized dog stomachs was obtained illustrating the different acid producing capacities of the various regions of the stomach, on the one hand, and showing that all types of vagotomy will reduce local acid secretion.
