[Reoperations on the extrahepatic bile ducts (author's transl)]

Out of 725 operative procedures at the gallbladder and bile duct there were 33 multiple interventions. The mortality rate of reoperations came up to 3 per cent. If feasible long-time T-drainage or ring-drainage is preferred. Biliodigestive anastomoses should be avoided.
