    Background:

    • Canine distemper virus (CDV) is a significant pathogen affecting dogs.
    • Neurological manifestations are common in CDV-infected dogs.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the correlation between serum calcium levels and parathyroid gland ultrastructure in dogs experimentally infected with CDV.
    • To assess the impact of CDV infection on clinical, immunological, and pathological changes.
    • To explore the potential contribution of parathyroid dysfunction to the neurological signs of CDV infection.
