Abstract:
During postoperative care we examined the effect of bromhexine HCl and prostaglandin E1 on the viscosity of bronchial secretion. Both drugs reduced the viscosity and produced a liquefaction of the secretion. In the control group, which was treated with 0.9% NaCl solution, no significant effect was seen.
