Direct depth recording of the striate cortex during REM sleep in man: are there PGO potentials?
Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology
|February 1, 1975
Abstract:
Direct recording from the striate cortex was performed in an adult patient and the activity which occurred during paradoxical sleep is described. Monophasic and diphasic potentials, isolated or grouped in bursts, were observed, with no strict relationships with oculomotor activity. Arguments in favour of and against these potentials being PGO waves are discussed
