Laryngocele--an anaesthetic hazard

The authors report a case in which a previously unrecognized laryngocele in an eight-year-old child was accidentally intubated and inflated after induction of anaesthesia for tonsillectomy. The nature and diagnosis of laryngocele are discussed.
