    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the synthesis and processing of viral proteins during NDV infection in chicken embryo fibroblasts.
    • To identify the precursor and cleavage products of major NDV virion polypeptides.

    Main Methods:

    • Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) was used to analyze viral proteins.
    • Pulse-labeling with radioactive amino acids followed by incubation with unlabeled amino acids was employed.
