    Summary

    Delayed hypersensitivity (DH) reactions in mice depend on the hapten:carrier ratio. High ratios target dinitrophenyl (DNP) groups, while low ratios target new antigenic determinants (NADs). T cells mediate these DH responses.

    Background:

    • Delayed hypersensitivity (DH) is a T-cell mediated immune response.
    • Hapten-carrier complexes are used to study immune responses, but the role of determinants is complex.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the role of hapten (dinitrophenyl, DNP) and carrier determinants in mouse DH reactions.
    • To determine the influence of hapten:carrier ratio on DH specificity.
