Availability time and tissue utilization of exogenous L-fucose in the adult newt
Abstract:
3H-L-fucose can be detected in the plasma of intraperitoneally injected adult newts as early as 3 minutes, peaks around 4 hours, and persists in low levels up to 48 hours. Studies of fucose levels in the tissues examined suggest a relatively short life span for many of the fucose-containing glycoproteins.
