    Background:

    • Electroencephalography (EEG) is a non-invasive method to record brain activity.
    • EEG patterns vary with age and brain region, reflecting developmental changes.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To classify and compare EEG patterns in the occipital and central regions of children and adults.
    • To quantify the differences in EEG patterns between these age groups using statistical methods.

    • EEG recordings were obtained from 76 children (6-9 years) and 41 adults (20-25 years).
    • EEG patterns were classified into five types for occipital regions (O1, O2) and seven types for central regions (C3, C4).
