    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare preoperative phonocardiogram findings with intraoperative and autopsy results in patients undergoing mitral commissurotomy.
    • To investigate the causes of systolic murmurs detected in patients with mitral valve disease.

    • Phonocardiograms were recorded at standard auscultation points before surgery.
