    Background:

    • Fanconi's anemia is a rare genetic disorder characterized by bone marrow failure.
    • Pancytopenia, a common manifestation, necessitates accurate diagnostic tools.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the utility of 99mTc-sulfur colloid bone marrow scintigraphy in patients with Fanconi's anemia.
    • To describe the characteristic tracer distribution patterns in these patients.

    Main Methods:

    • Bone marrow scintigraphy using 99mTc-sulfur colloid was performed on four patients diagnosed with Fanconi's anemia.
    • Analysis of tracer distribution patterns, focusing on areas of normal and increased activity, as well as skip lesions.

    Main Results:

    • All four patients exhibited paradoxical and irregular 99mTc-sulfur colloid distribution.
    • Increased tracer uptake was observed in proximal humeri metaphyses and primitive marrow sites in distal diaphyses and metaphyses.

    Conclusions:

    • 99mTc-sulfur colloid bone marrow scintigraphy reveals distinct, albeit paradoxical, tracer distribution patterns in Fanconi's anemia.
    • These scintigraphic findings may contribute to the differential diagnosis of pancytopenia in the context of Fanconi's anemia.
