Non-Invasive Ultrasound Assessment of Endometrial Cancer Progression in Pax8-Directed Deletion of the Tumor Suppressors Arid1a and Pten in Mice
Published on: February 17, 2023
Abstract:
Peritoneal masses arising from different types of primary carcinoma were studied ultrasonographically in 34 patients as well as with computed tomography in 3 patients. In shape, the masses were nodular, mantle- or sheetlike, or irregular. The peritoneal line was usually obliterated unless the mass was very small. When a considerable amount of ascites was present, peritoneal implants as small as 2-3 mm could be delineated.

Ultrasound I: Abdominal Ultrasonography
Abdominal ultrasonography, commonly known as abdominal ultrasound, is a vital, non-invasive medical imaging technique widely used in healthcare.
Procedure:
This diagnostic tool allows the clinician to visually inspect internal structures within the abdomen, including vital organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, and spleen.
The abdominal ultrasound process begins with applying a special gel to the patient's skin over the abdomen. This gel enhances the...
