    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the immunologic effects of dansyl chloride on guinea pig skin.
    • To determine the role of lymphatic drainage in immune tolerance induction.

    • Dansyl chloride was applied to intact guinea pig skin and to isolated lymphatic skin islands.
    • Immune responses (sensitization and tolerance) were assessed.

    • Application of dansyl chloride to intact skin induced significant immune tolerance.
