[Sex education for the general practitioner]

Patients with sexual problems commonly present in a family practice. The family physician, as the doctor of first contact, is in the best position to manage these problems, but his training in human sexuality is very often insufficient. A plea is made for the proper training of family physicians in family medicine, including human sexuality.
