Self-regulation and sense of competence in men alcoholics

Although alcoholics' performance on three measures of self-regulatory competence was markedly inferior to that of nonalcoholics, alcoholics' overestimates of their ability and underestimates of their limitations were greater than those of nonalcoholics.
