Screen filtration pressure and quantity of microaggregates: a nonexisting relationship

In 22 units of stored canine blood, the relationships between screen filtration pressure and number and volumes of microaggregates were studied. No correlations were found. As high screen filtration pressure in transfused blood has been associated with organ dysfunction, its measurement may have some clinical merit.
