    Background:

    • Dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) is a chronic autoimmune blistering skin disease.
    • Diagnostic tools for DH can be limited, necessitating exploration of novel methods.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the reactivity of dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) skin to a locally applied ester of nicotinic acid, Trafuril.
    • To compare Trafuril-induced reactions with those of other agents and assess factors influencing reactivity.

    Main Methods:

    • Local application of Trafuril ointment to patients with dermatitis herpetiformis.
    • Observation and documentation of induced skin reactions, including erythema, edema, papules, and vesicles.
