[Electro-acupuncture in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery]

Electroacupuncture hypoalgesia was used in 377 operations of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. Studies were performed also on electroencephalographic patterns during the application of this method. With the positive results, limitations of the method are discussed.
