[Study of the thoracic duct (ductus thoracicus) termination in newborns (author's transl)]

Abstract:
The authors studied the terminal portion in fifteen newborn thoracic ducts, using the neoprene latex injection method and posterior dissection. Variations in the manner and number of terminations of the thoracic ducts were found and described. The results are compared with data from the literature. Differences between newborns and adults are discussed.
