Prophylactic anticoagulant therapy against pulmonary emboli in acute paraplegia

Prophylactic anticoagulant therapy within a few days of admitting a patient with a spinal injury appears to offer advantages in preventing pulmonary emboli. It was not found to hinder the patient's management.
