    • Two infants presented with intractable diarrhea of infancy.
    • The diarrhea was secondary to Hirschsprung's disease.

    Findings:

    • Mucosal damage in the small bowel is a key factor.
    • Disaccharidase deficiency contributes significantly to the complication.

    Implications:

    • Prompt management of enterocolitis is vital.
    • Parenteral alimentation should be initiated early upon complication detection.
