    Summary

    Wound dehiscence after caesarean section is significantly reduced by using a low transverse incision compared to a vertical incision. This change can decrease serious complications for patients undergoing abdominal surgery.

    • Abdominal wound dehiscence is a serious complication following caesarean section.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare the incidence of abdominal wound dehiscence between vertical and low transverse incisions in caesarean section patients.
    • To evaluate the impact of incision type on wound complication severity.

    • Retrospective analysis of 2,175 patients delivered by caesarean section.
    • Categorization of wound dehiscence based on incision type (vertical vs. low transverse).
