    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the agreement between skin prick tests and the Radioallergosorbent Test (RAST) in atopic patients.
    • To assess the clinical relevance of positive skin reactions and RAST scores in relation to patient history.

    Main Methods:

    • Skin tests were conducted on 23 atopic patients using allergens from horse, cat, guinea-pig dander, house dust, and Timothy pollen.
    • Results from skin tests were compared with RAST scores for the same allergens.

    • In some cases, positive skin reactions or RAST scores did not correlate with the patients' clinical histories.
