[Incidence of hypomagnesaemia in dry cows (author's transl)]

In the late summer and early autumn of 1977, seven cases of milk fever were observed on a dairy farm. It was believed that condition was most likely to be due to preparturient hypomagnesaemia. Therefore the magnesium levels in the blood and urine of both lactating and non-lactating cows were determined in this herd during several months.
