    Summary

    Underside meniscal lesions, often missed, were found in 20% of meniscectomies. Meniscectomy provided excellent results for these posterior meniscal tears, highlighting the need for thorough examination.

    Background:

    • To investigate the prevalence and characteristics of meniscal lesions located on the underside of the meniscus.
    • To compare the clinical features of underside meniscal lesions with other meniscal pathologies.
    • To evaluate the outcomes of meniscectomy for underside meniscal lesions.
