Antagonistic effect of kallikrein against bradykinin
Arzneimittel-Forschung
|January 1, 1978
Abstract:
The interaction of kallikrein with bradykinin, eledoisin and histamine was studied on the perfused hindquarters of the cat and isolated cat jejunum. The vasodilation induced by bradykinin, but not by eledoisin and histamine, was found to be inhibited by kallikrein. Kallikrein also inhibited the myotropic effect of bradykinin on the isolated cat jejunum. The possible mechanisms of the inhibitory action of kallikrein against bradykinin were discussed.
