    Background:

    • Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is a severe inflammatory skin condition characterized by unpredictable fluctuations.
    • Assessing prognosis and treatment efficacy in GPP is challenging due to its variable natural history.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the natural course of generalized pustular psoriasis, including complications and precipitating factors.
    • To evaluate the effectiveness and adverse effects of various therapeutic interventions for GPP.

    Main Methods:

    • Longitudinal follow-up of patients with generalized pustular psoriasis.
    • Observation of illness course, complications, and response to treatments including oral drugs, topical agents, systemic corticosteroids, methotrexate, hydroxyurea, and antibiotics.

    Main Results:

    • Oral drug therapy frequently triggered pustular flares and contact allergy to topical treatments.
    • Long-term systemic corticosteroid use led to rebound phenomena, despite being effective for life-threatening situations.
