[Diencephalic cyst]

Two cases diagnosed as diencephalic cyst are reported. This disease is a congenital malformation of the central nervous system attended constantly by partial or total agenesia of the corpus callosum. The embryologic disturbances distinctive of this disease are pointed out and a clinicoradiological correlation is made. Therapeutic procedures are described.
