[Femoral embolism during cardiothyrosis]
Abstract:
This is a case of a systemic embolism during an auricular fibrillation because of a toxic thyroid adenoma in a 73 years old man with latent coronaropathy. The femoral obstruction and the adenoma were successfully operated. The study of the pathogenic factors of the embolism complications, in spite of the rarity of published cases, suggests an anticoagulant treatment in certain cases : auricular fibrillation with periodic returns to sinusal rhythm, the patient's old age.
