Abstract:
Respiratory resistance was studied pre-operatively and post-operatively in a group of patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Respiratory resistance was shown to be markedly increased post-operatively in patients with chronic bronchitis and slightly increased in non-bronchitic patients.
