Benign intracranial hypertension complicating glomus jugulare tumor surgery

A case is reported in which excision of the jugular bulb during glomus tumor surgery resulted in the development of postoperative benign intracranial hypertension. The pathogenesis of this previously unreported complication of glomus tumor surgery is discussed, and the principles of management are reviewed.
