A Nigerian psychiatric outpatient clinic: a point prevalence study
The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry
|April 1, 1980
Abstract:
A point prevalence study of Aro psychiatric outpatient clinic was conducted. Psychiatric personnel in the clinic was found inadequate to cater to the large patient population. The inadequate manpower affected both the diagnosis and the treatment of patients attending the clinic. Suggestions were, therefore, made for decongesting the clinic and also for increasing the psychiatrist/patient ratio for improved patients' management.
