Use of "black light" in assesing pupillary responses
American Journal of Optometry and Physiological Optics
|November 1, 1977
Abstract:
A modification of the conventional technique of pupillary analysis that maximizes the ability of the clinician to interpret papillary abnormalities, especially in aging patients, is presented. The technique, which utilizes the principle of lenticular fluorescence from "black-light" (ultraviolet) stimulation, employs equipment that is readily available to clinicians.
