[Duplication of the left testicle and cryptorchidism (report of a case)]

A case of duplication of the left testicle with right testicular agenesia is reported in a 7 years-old-boy in whom the diagnosis was made at the operation. Analysis of this clinical entity is made, together with the embryologic concepts that are suspected of producing this contingency. Considerations are also made on the prognosis as related to fertility in the subject and the respective literature is reviewed.
