The medication is given in acute and chronic pumping insufficiency. The distance between therapeutic effect wanted and unfavourable influences due to critically reduced preload and coronary perfusion as well as reduced volume of output is close. The haemodynamic analysis of actual situation of the disease as well as regular controls are necessary. The effects of the long-term therapy in chronic pumping insufficiency with peroral effective vasodilators are still unsatisfactory.
