[The problem of fat embolism in polytraumatised patients. - case report (author's transl)]

The problem of fat embolism is reviewed by a case report. The difficulty of diagnosis is discussed, because there is a superimposition of fat embolism symptoms and symptoms caused by the trauma directly. Evident discrepancy of obtained parameters - by extended monitoring - to an adequate therapy, fat embolism has to be assumed.
