[Weather changes, psychosomatic alterations and myocardial infarct]

Reference is made to the preliminary results of an extensive investigation of the relationship between weather and the incidence of myocardial infarct in Rome hospital patients. An account is offered of the many relations between meteorological and psychic stress on the one hand, and cardiovascular disease on the other. Beta-blocking agents, tranquillisers (benzo-diazepines), and platelet antiaggregants are useful in this connection.
