Abstract:
The chronic behavior of blood pressure of 151 ventricle were examined in a study which was set up in a prospective way. The implanted pacemakers were fit out with ventricle controlled Demand-Systems. The period of the observation lasted between 25 and 62 month. After the implantation a decrease of the systolic pressure value is to expect. Precautions to overcome this phase must be taken. The blood pressure from the greater part of the patients increased after three or five month to the values, which were taken before the implantation. The medicinal therapy has to consider for this change of the behavior of blood pressure. Only a little number of pacemaker patients (n = 10) showed during the long-term course a durable decrease of the systolic blood pressure.
