    Background:

    • Periarteritis nodosa (PAN) is a rare vasculitis with historically poor maternal and fetal outcomes.
    • Previous reports indicate a high mortality rate for pregnancies in patients with active periarteritis.

    Observation:

    • A case of periarteritis nodosa in remission during pregnancy is presented.
    • The patient experienced a successful pregnancy with a positive outcome for both mother and infant.

    Findings:

    • This case represents the second reported maternal survivor of pregnancy with periarteritis.
    • The successful outcome suggests that pregnancy may not invariably lead to adverse maternal outcomes in periarteritis, especially when the disease is in remission.

    Implications:

    • Pregnancy in patients with periarteritis, particularly when in remission, may be associated with better outcomes than previously thought.
    • Increased vigilance and improved diagnostic strategies are crucial due to the rarity and diagnostic challenges of periarteritis during pregnancy.
