    Background:

    • Stereological morphometric analysis revealed distinct morphological differences between plasma cells from pleural and peritoneal effusions.
    • Cultured intraperitoneal plasma cells exhibited marked morphological changes compared to in vivo cells, indicating transformation from mature to immature lymphoid cells.
