[Clinical picture and treatment of multiple sclerosis]

Abstract:
The results of a long-term follow up of 41 patients with disseminated sclerosis are summarized. The significance of a careful clinical examination and prolonged observation over patients with opticomyelitis and disseminated encephalomyelitis as initial diagnoses is underlined: the appearance of new neurological disorders several years after the disease debut changed the diagnosis in favor of disseminated sclerosis. The drugs normalizing hemostatic function are offered for pathogenetic treatment of disseminated sclerosis. It is emphasized that patients given these drugs show a definite clinical improvement.
