[Cartilage adhesion on the knee joint. Clinical follow-up]
Abstract:
During the years 1979 to 1982, 34 cartilage adhesion with fibrin were performed in the knee joint. 29 patients could be re-examined. 21 patients additionally underwent a control arthroscopy. Analyzation of the results showed that the prognostical outlook after a replantation of old cartilage fragments into a degeneratively affected fracture bed must be considered as poor. Better results were achieved when the cartilage lesion could be treated in a fresh state.
