Ciclindole and flucindole: novel tetrahydrocarbazolamine neuroleptics

Abstract:
The tryptamine derivatives ciclindole and flucindole elevated striatal dopamine metabolites in the rat and mouse. These agents also displace [3H]spiperone binding in vitro. These data indicate that these tryptamine derivatives represent novel neuroleptic structures.
