[How effective are the international sanitary conventions with regard to the current cholera pandemic]

The present cholera pandemic spread proves that nations are powerless to establish an inter-coordination strong enough to bring under control problems of geographic diffusion and endemisation of new territories. The authors, after having pointed out certain International Health Regulations deficiencies and brought to mind their faults in execution, consider that an epidemiologic phenomenon of this scale dictates a reconsideration of the present system of international sanitary practices.
