Acute pure vertiginous dysequilibrium in cerebellar infarction
Abstract:
A clinical example of an acute cerebellar infarct mimicking an acute end-organ labyrinthine disease is reported to foster general familiarity with the simulation of a benign disorder by a potentially serious one. The utility of certain neurologic findings in distinguishing a peripheral from a central vestibulo-cerebellar disorder is discussed.
