Biochemical changes in the visual cortices of the mice after optic nerve ligation

Abstract:
The visual cortices were analysed by biochemical means after optic nerve ligation. Increase in RNA and dopamine uptake were evident as early as 1 week postoperatively in both cortices, contralateral and ipsilateral, to the side of the lesion.
