    Purpose of the Study:

    • To review the clinical features, natural history, and visual prognosis of ocular sarcoidosis.
    • To identify common ocular manifestations and their impact on vision.

    Main Methods:

    • Retrospective review of 26 patients with histologically confirmed sarcoidosis.
    • Analysis of clinical features, fundus findings, and visual outcomes.

    Main Results:

    • 75% of patients had compatible chest x-ray changes.
    • Periphlebitis was the most common fundus feature.
    • Disc edema and subretinal pigment epithelium changes were observed, but visual morbidity was low unless neovascularization occurred.

    Conclusions:

    • Ocular sarcoidosis primarily affects equatorial retinal veins.
    • The disease has a generally good visual prognosis, with neovascularization being a key factor for visual morbidity.
    • Treatment for neovascularization in ocular sarcoidosis remains controversial.
